Where did the “mountains out of molehills” phrase originate? What is a molehill? Is it like a hobbit hole?

Totally like a hobbit hole I think! ) This post is so true!
We should start a revolution and just start saying “making a mountain out of a hobbit hole.”

Couldn’t have said it more perfectly. I’ll start rehashing a time that I said something stupid YEARS ago and I’ll still avoid the situation. *sigh* What I wouldn’t give for a healthy brain.

Molehills are small mounds left by burrowing moles; in a group they can look like a range of tiny hills.
