How many more “history of mental illness” before they get the picture and start looking into it further. No, it was the gun that did it, lets spend our money fighting that.
This really bothers me. AGAIN they are reflecting the blame and if they do this, tragedies and horrors like Newtown will keep happening. MAN UP and attack the problem. Evil got hold of this young man because he was neglected and left in the care of someone who loved him very much but didn’t have the skills and knowledge to even protect herself.
Could not agree more! Really bugged me when I saw some gun toting guy on the news the other night saying, “It’s not guns we need to worry about in this country, it is mental illness”.
The linking of such tragedies to the need for gun control is logical. But linking these tragedies on some ill-informed and ignorant understanding of “mental illness” is offensive.

RT @leadinglight101: Social Anxiety Disorder is treatable. You can overcome it with the right support 2 days ago
@jaypsyd No judgment but can we said "and" instead of "versus" since it's not a competition? It's a terrible situation for everyone involved 2 days ago

/ December 19, 2012So true…it just throw all kinds of mental illness in the same pool too. That is unfair. Jen xx

/ December 19, 2012Exactly – it makes it harder for the rest of us to speak up about having mental illnesses.
